Safeguarding

We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children, and that keeping children safe is the responsibility of every member of staff, both paid and voluntary.

We make every effort to provide a safe and welcoming environment underpinned by a culture of openness where both adults and children feel secure, able to talk and know they are listened to. We always maintain an attitude of ‘it could happen here’ where safeguarding is concerned. Our Safeguarding, Child Protection and related policies can be found in the policies section of our website.

Our Designated Safeguard Leads (DSL) are Mrs. Cameron and Mrs. Maidment (Co-Headteachers). We also have a Deputy DSL, who is trained to the same DSL level: Mrs. Caddick (Senior Headteacher).

Our latest Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies can be found in the 'Policies' area of this website.

What should I do if I am concerned about a child?

Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility and together we want to ensure that our children are safe, happy and secure at all times. If you have any concerns about your own, or another child, please do not hesitate to contact one of the Designated Safeguarding Leads at school.

If a child is in immediate danger, do not hesitate to call 999.

You can contact Children's Services on 0300 555 1384.
